Ntungamo District commissions 390M Shillings Multipurpose Hall

Authorities in Ntungamo District have today 05/06/2026 commissioned the completed works on a modern multipurpose hall at Kibasti Seed Secondary School, valued at 390 million shillings.
The facility, which is equipped with furniture which includes 120 chairs and 60 tables ,a public address system, projector , electricity, lightning arrestors.
While presiding over the commissioning, Ntungamo Resident District Commissioner Mary Kagaiga Mugisha challenged the locals and the school authorities to jealously protect the facility and ensure that it is used to fight ignorance and boast education standards in the area.
Kagaiga also commended the contractors for executing work on time and meeting the expected standards in regards to quality.
District vice chairperson Asuman Kigongo while representing District Chairperson Samuel Muchunguzi Rwakigooba commended the government to taking deliberate steps towards supporting education and urged parents to put the new facility to good use by ensuring that children remain in school as well as guarding it jealously.
Speaking at the same function, Ntungamo Chief Administrative Officer Fedelis Kiiza revealed that the school has been equipped with modern infrastructure thus no need for excuses of failing to perform better than before.
Ntungamo District Education Officer Denis Ntare challenged the students and teachers at the school to work towards achieving academic excellency as well ensuring that the facilities at the schools are regulary maintained so that they can last a test of time.
Rev. Emmanuel Tindimwebwa the priest at Rukoni II Church of Uganda commended the government of Uganda for working closely with the church in ensuring that education services are brought closer to the people.
Edgar Kwesiga the director Goldina General enterprises revealed that the company was able to execute the project on time due to good working environment provided by the stakeholders as well as regular guidance and support for the project supervisors.
Charles Kusemererwa the Acting district engineer revealed that the works executed comform to the required standards and commended the contractor for remaining committed to executing quality work.
Evan Karenzi the headteacher at the school revealed that they were excited to receive the new facility saying it is a great boost to the learning of the students.
The construction of the multipurpose hall comes barely a year after the government invested UGX 2.45 billion in additional facilities for Kibasti Seed Secondary School, further strengthening its infrastructure base.
The facilities included an information technology block, classrooms an administration block as well as modern drainable toilet facilties for staff,males and females.
